bothmidway and brownells sell a replacement rear sight which will fit into the dovetail cut into the barrel. the marbles sights will give you a much better sight picture than the original buckhorn rear on the rossi. if you are satisfied with the existing sight picture, filing sharper steps into the elevator and removing the sight from the dovetail and bending it slightly down will suffice..
